TERMINAL BLOCK RFQ CHECKLIST

Send a requirement that can be checked.

Put the model, PCB interface, conductor, ratings, quantity, market and document needs into one traceable request before comparing quotations.

Static Excel file: complete it locally, then attach it through your own email or WhatsApp.

ONE REQUEST ACROSS SOURCING, ENGINEERING AND SALES

A quote is only comparable when the input is controlled.

The workbook keeps up to 20 product requirements in the same field order, flags missing core data and leaves unknown values visible. It does not turn a candidate model or supplier response into an approved substitution.

Download the same workbook described on this page.

Includes company/contact fields, six request-header inputs, 17 buyer input columns per product, automatic line numbering, entered-line count and status checks.

SIX FIELD GROUPS

Every column should close a different quotation ambiguity.

The groups below follow the published workbook. A blank value stays blank or unknown until the buyer, drawing or exact-model document supplies the evidence.

GroupWorkbook fieldsWhy it matters
01 / Existing part and connection family

Existing model, existing manufacturer and connection family

Keeps a printed reference, full suffix and product architecture attached to the same line item.

02 / Mechanical and PCB interface

Pitch, positions, mounting and wire-entry direction

Defines the interfaces that determine footprint, enclosure access and mating review.

03 / Conductor requirement

Wire type and wire range

Separates solid, stranded or ferruled production wire from a headline range copied without conditions.

04 / Electrical requirement

Required current and voltage

Provides the application target while exact-model ratings, standards and operating conditions remain subject to review.

05 / Configuration and commercial scope

Color / latch / flange, sample quantity, annual quantity and target market

Separates the prototype need from production volume and identifies market-specific evidence questions.

06 / Documents and open evidence

Required documents, notes and drawing filename

Names the file or unresolved item instead of treating the word “certificate” as a complete requirement.

SIX-STEP SEND WORKFLOW

Build the requirement, then attach the evidence.

The website and workbook do not upload photos or drawings. Prepare the package locally, then send it from the communication channel your company controls.

  1. 01

    Complete the request header

Enter the company, contact, work email, requested date and optional Incoterm and currency once for the workbook.

    OUTPUT: Project-level commercial context
  2. 02

Create one controlled line per product

Use the full printed model and suffix when available. If the identity is unreadable, write unknown and keep the evidence gap visible.

OUTPUT: One requirement set per line
  3. 03

    Measure the physical interface

Record pitch, positions, mounting and wire-entry direction, then attach the PCB footprint or first-to-last contact-center measurement.

OUTPUT: Drawing, footprint or measured sample
  4. 04

    State wire and electrical conditions

Name conductor construction and range plus required current and voltage. Put operating or standard conditions in the notes instead of assuming a universal rating.

OUTPUT: Controlled equipment and conductor requirements
  5. 05

    Separate sample and production quantities

Give the immediate sample quantity, estimated annual volume, target market, timing and requested documents.

OUTPUT: Usable quotation and sample scope
  6. 06

Send the workbook with current evidence

Attach front, side, pin or PCB, wire-entry and marking photos plus the latest drawing or footprint. Ask for the candidate, differences, current documents and sample action.

    OUTPUT: Traceable supplier review package

SIX COMMON RFQ GAPS

Do not let a supplier silently fill these fields.

01MODEL

A base series without the full suffix or revision.

02PITCH

A nominal pitch without position count, center span or PCB footprint.

03WIRE

An AWG/mm² number without solid, stranded, ferruled or conductor-count context.

04RATINGS

Current and voltage copied from another housing, pitch or family.

05QUANTITY

A sample quantity with no estimated production volume or timing.

06DOCUMENTS

A request for “all certificates” without the target market, standard or exact model.

PREPARE THE EVIDENCE BEFORE SENDING

Use the live tools for the fields you can measure or verify.

WHY EXACT MODEL FIELDS AND DOCUMENT TYPES STAY SEPARATE

Official product pages organize the same evidence by purpose.

These manufacturer examples support the RFQ structure. Their product values are not transferred to a YIHENTRA model or used as a compatibility or certification claim.

TERMINAL BLOCK RFQ FAQ

What the checklist can—and cannot—close.

What information should a terminal block RFQ include?

Include the full reference or unknown status, connection family, pitch, positions, mounting and wire entry, conductor type and range, required current and voltage, configuration, sample and annual quantities, target market, timing, documents and attached drawing or photos.

What if the terminal block model number is unknown?

Write unknown instead of inventing a part number. Add clear marking, front, side, wire-entry and pin or PCB photos, then provide position count, center-span measurement and the PCB footprint when available.

Can a photo replace a terminal block drawing?

No. A photo can help identify the family and visible features, but it does not prove pitch, pin size, hole pattern, internal contact geometry, ratings, mating compatibility or approvals.

Why does the template ask for sample and annual quantities separately?

They serve different decisions. Sample quantity defines the immediate validation step; annual quantity supports production quotation, packaging and supply review without turning an estimate into a purchase commitment.

Does downloading or completing the Excel template send my data to YIHENTRA?

No. The workbook is a static download. Complete it locally and attach it in your own email or WhatsApp application; the website does not upload or store the workbook contents.

Does a completed RFQ prove that a proposed terminal block is approved?

No. The RFQ creates a checkable request. The exact candidate, current drawing, ratings, documents, mating interface and production-intent sample still require confirmation and approval.

SEND THE WORKBOOK WITH THE CURRENT DRAWING

Ask for a candidate, the differences and the next sample action.

Keep unknowns explicit and attach only the project information needed for technical and commercial review.
